Egosian, 2016

Enamel on linen
35"x28", (90x70cm)
The colourful combination embodies the spiritual experience in a physical body while the expressive black line is a representation of the ego. Originally, Freud used the word ego to mean a sense of self. Since then, the concept of ego has become famous in spiritual circles but has different meanings based on different ideologies. According to Jung, ego represents a conscious mind, complete with its thoughts, memories and emotions that a person is aware of. In this painting the artist depicts a vibration of ego and its synchrony with one's experience. It's an inseparable but changeable part of our nature. Thus he illustrates that ego is not something alien to be wrestled with (it corresponds with the colours of the image) but an entity that should be viewed as another tool to better refine the "whole" perspective and way of being.
