Le Fleur d’Or, 2016

The golden flower is a symbol of true consciousness referring to the awareness of the higher self or original spirit. In the Tao religion, the aim is to achieve the golden flower through the harmony of opposites (specifically the light forces yang, and the dark forces yin). In Indian religion, true selfhood emanatesfrom a harmonious balance of the highest and the lowest. As colours of nature, blue and green illustrate thiscrystalized state of equilibrium. This is what is described as, grown out of seed, purification of the power or purification of the concept. The flower represents perfection, totality, the uttermost expression and the actualization of one's potential.
