Jupiter, 2016

The painting is the representation of Jupiter, the largest planet in the solar system. Romans regarded Jupiter as the equivalent of the Greek Zeus who historically was the god of thunder, the lightning shaker and the main authority in Olympia. With enormous efforts he was victorious over the titans and subsequently obtained the throne. As the king of ancient gods, he represented unlimited power, practical wisdom and tremendous strength.The artist intentionally occupies the entire space of the canvas to illustrate the brightness and massiveness of Jupiter's (Zeus's) figure, the overall message of the painting.
