Moonlight Serenade, 2016

“The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed" (Carl Jung). The quote is a metaphor depicting the integration of solar (active and masculine sun, represented by yellow colour) and lunar (passive and feminine moon, represented by silver-violet colours) archetypes and the energy that emerges from their "sacred marriage" (gold coloured dynamic lines). Through alchemical art the two are united and the resulting offspring is the Philosopher's Stone where the soul and spirit of male and female are merged into one. Great unity between the two creates a third that can be material (wealth, children, achievements) or spiritual (friendship, love, cooperation).
