The structure of the central figure identifies with traditional Russian matryoshka — the nesting doll, round and elongated like an egg. The concept is that of an image emerging from a larger to a smaller similar object. Originally, the biggest doll is associated with a strong female matriarch who is the main symbol of the family, the children represented by the little dolls that fit inside. For this reason, matryoshka represents fertility, motherhood, creativity and inner potential. The female silhouette centered on the picture is that of a contemplative pregnant woman looking into her soul and the life she is carrying inside. This painting symbolizes the internal feminine forces that she generates from within.
