Celestica, 2016

A curvaceous celestial body with its flame and golden light creates a beautiful pink sky line. The painting illustrates a miraculous event mentioned in the Gospel according to Matthew, namely the Star of Bethlehem or Christmas Star. It was a celestial phenomenon that lead "wise men from the East" to the birthplace of Jesus Christ. As has since been proven, the Star of Bethlehem was probably a triple conjunction of Saturn, Mars and Jupiter (the three colours — red, white and gold — united in one body) in the constellation of Pisces. Its significance was only obvious to the Magi of Babylonia.In general, the painting symbolizes high dreams and high ideals, good fortune and hope for reaching above one's self.
