The composition represents the abstract form of yin and yang theory. Gold colouring is associated with masculinity (power, strength, activity) and pink colouring symbolizes femininity (sweetness, tenderness, softness). These two energies blend into oneinseparable and interpenetrating relationship, "sacred conjunctio". Emphasized in the painting are the main principals of this healthy union: neither of the energies is superior to the other; they stay independent and together they create a totality and complete whole.This sacred conjunctio is an internal process that invites the splendor of the sacred feminine into the holy union with the sacred masculine or on an external level may be a dance you enter with others as lovers, heart-friends and spiritual community members.
