Du Rêve à la Réalité, 2016

On the painting there are two white eggs, one of which is incubating (at the bottom) while the other has bred a life (one on the top). The world egg, cosmic egg or mundane egg is a mythological motif found in the creation myths of many cultures and civilizations. Typically itsymbolizes a beginning of some sort, much like the universe or some primordial being coming into existence from the"hatching"of an egg. Once a unique soul emerges (red as the colour of blood, gold as the colour of potentiality and their combination as greatness and solemnity of life) the world celebrates a neonate birth. The pink background represents innocence and tenderness, spring and blossoming, dawn and a new day beginning.
