Stalagmias, 2016

Growing from cave floors and a representation of spatial symbols, stalagmites are actively moving up and aspiring to the spheres of the divine (circle at the left corner). As "vertical" symbols they are also associated with the imperial scepter, the marshal's baton, the wizard's wand and the leader's spear summarizing four mature archetypal male energies. The Magician represents the power of secret knowledge and similar to a chess board has the ability to predict with good accuracy where actions will lead. The Warrior's energy is an unsurpassable power source which produces the fuel to reach its goals, fight for worthy causes and achieve greatness. The Lover is the archetype of emotion, idealism, sensuality, feeling alive and enjoying life. The King incorporates the three other archetypes in perfect harmony and is the energy that gives a man a sense of fullness and godlike potential. The light colours in the painting symbolize the constructive dimension of these archetypes.
