Tribus, 2016

The African proverb believes that : "If you want to travel fast, go alone. If you want to travel far, go together". Three white-red islands represent uniqueness bridged by the gold colouring that symbolizes a shared interest and a way to communicate — two things that a group of people need to form a tribe.For millions of years, human beings have been part of one tribe or another. Even now we all belong to tribes that arguably are part of a bigger system, which may be supportive especially when pursuing a dream, purpose, vision or calling in life. Reaching a fuller potential and going even farther in life is simplified when we have "traveling companions"."Find your tribe! They will allow you to be you, while you dance in the rain" (Shannon L. Alder). This painting embodies a close group of support that is always with us and for us.
