Heartbeat, 2016

The heart is a source of "fire energy" comparable to that of a human battery. The artist's perception of the heart is not that of a living organ but rather a pathway to knowledge, feelings and vision that guides us through life. The palette of colours (reds, greens, blacks and whites) embodies our daily challenges and our ability to deal with them. As a rich symbol in east and west religious traditions the heart emerges as a psychospiritualintegration that contains polarities of consciousand unconscious attitudes that are necessary for a newawareness to be born. The heart is intentionally depicted as a container shape with its subtle vibrations to emphasize the alchemy of the blending and fusion during this noble transformation.
